Halloween around Burbank

So I was looking for a book store in Burbank to buy a Buenos Aires map for my trip to Argentina. By the way, Geographica Travel & Map bookstore in Burbank has lots of travel books and maps. It was pretty cool.

Anyway, I noticed that some folks went all out with Halloween decoration. And I couldn't help taking pictures of them. =) The pirate ship is totally nuts, and I have to say, my favorite.

Back of the ship.

Skull for the effect.

Front yard turned to graveyard.

I dunno what this is, but it's pretty darn elaborate. Posted by Picasa

Sunny days return

Yes, I have been remiss. It's laziness? Plus, somehow, the neighborhood of where you grew up just doesn't seem interesting enough to photograph.

Anyway, the sunny days have returned, minus the massive fire. My parents' house is still standing. Although I have to say, we had to keep our windows closed for a week or so to keep the ashes out.

It's been pretty hot... 80-90's here, sunny, and dry. It's been great soaking in the sun. Just hung out at the beach today, reading some library books. ;) If not hanging out at the beach, I am sending out resumes and helping out with family business. In two weeks, I am off to Argentina! I am pretty sure, I will have a lot of photos after a trip to Argentina. =)
View from my room now.

And the palm trees are still standing.

More palm trees near my parents' place. Posted by Picasa
