Tinkering with Blog Platform and Looking for Inspiration

Yes, it's been quite a while since I posted a blog here. There are many excuses -- lack of time, lack of motivation, but probably most importantly, lack of direction. This blog was originally created to post pictures while I was living at Alabama. So, right now I'm still trying to figure out what I could post here regularly.

I know what I don't want to post: (1) anything to do with my job; (2) anything that would make this blog sound like a public diary (I don't know all of you random people to share my life that intimately); and (3) anything that could potentially haunt me if I ever decide to run for say the President of the United States (not that I qualify... not having been born in the United States).

So, while I am still trying to decide what to do here, I decided to see if I should move my blog to wordpress.com or stay with blogger. Wordpress.com has a lot more tools that help the blogger see the traffic flow, etc. On the other hand, I found that I couldn't customize Wordpress.com blogs quite as well as Blogger. So at the end of the day, I am back where I started.

BUT, I decided my old blog template was too boring. So after a few hours of researching and surfing, I updated this blog with a new, prettier template (I am still a girl, you know). Maybe the new blog will inspire me to fill it with content.

It does seem there are lots of blogs out there. Quite a bit falls under some type of finance blog -- how to save money, find deals, etc. Besides love life issues, money is probably the second most thought of (if not really discussed openly) issue. Not sure if that's the route I want to go.

The other idea I had was to keep a running post of fictional work. So instead of my random musings, I will start writing a story (or maybe short chapters) that I am sure anyone reading may brutally criticize.

I do have this story from a few years back that I've been meaning to write more. I'm leaning that way for now.

Unless I come up with a different inspiration, next time I post, I might just introduce a running fictional work!
