Civil war prison used to be in Cahawba.

Only chimney stands where the civil war prison used to be.

Alabama River runs near Cahawba Archaeological Park.

Hard to believe this empty street was filled with houses and business in Cahawba.

Lost are many buildings, but these columns stand.

The columns are built with round bricks that are only good for columns! So they dismantled most buildings but not the columns.

Kirk-View farm still stands.

And this is the house. Pretty run-down up close but looks good from here. =)|
