Happy New Year everyone! Maybe 2008 wasn't the best of the years to remember. But it will be one of the slightly longer years. Today, the scientists added one more second -- a leap second -- to the atomic clock of year 2008. That's because our Earth is slowing down ever so gradually. This second was added at 7:00 pm eastern time according to the news, so we are already enduring one extra second. =)
Well, I guess one extra second won't kill us. Here's to better year to come in 2009!!
